Starting a counseling practice is about much more than opening an office or creating a website. For me, Noble Creek Path Counseling represents a vision that has been growing over many years. A vision of creating a space where individuals feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered to move toward change.
As a licensed clinical mental health counselor, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life’s most challenging moments. I have witnessed the courage it takes to ask for help, the resilience people discover within themselves, and the transformation that can occur when someone feels understood and supported.
Throughout my career, one belief has remained constant: healing is rarely a straight line. Growth often unfolds gradually, one step at a time, through moments of insight, perseverance, and connection. That belief became the foundation for Noble Creek Path Counseling.
The “path” symbolizes the journey of growth and self-discovery. Therapy is not about achieving perfection. It is about finding a path forward and developing the tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

Why I Created Noble Creek Path Counseling
Noble Creek Path Counseling was born from a desire to create a practice that reflects my values as a therapist.
I wanted to build a space that feels welcoming, compassionate, and grounded. A place where people can come as they are, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.
Many people begin therapy carrying feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, uncertainty, or emotional exhaustion. Others are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, parenting concerns, or a desire to better understand themselves. Whatever brings someone through the door, my goal is to provide a supportive environment where healing and growth can occur at their own pace.
The Meaning Behind Noble Creek Path
The name Noble Creek Path Counseling reflects both the counseling process and the natural beauty of Western North Carolina.
A creek does not move in a straight line. It adapts, flows around obstacles, and continues forward despite challenges along the way. Similarly, healing often involves navigating unexpected turns, setbacks, and periods of uncertainty.
The word “noble” represents the strength, dignity, and courage that individuals bring to the therapeutic process, even when they may not fully recognize those qualities within themselves.
My Approach to Counseling
I believe that every person has unique strengths, experiences, and goals. Because of this, therapy should never be one-size-fits-all.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and respect. Together, we work to better understand challenges, identify patterns, build skills, and create meaningful change.
Whether I am working with children, adolescents, adults, or families, my goal is to help clients develop insight, emotional resilience, and confidence in their ability to navigate life’s complexities.
